Morning Sing & Toddler Art and Music Explorations
Our classes are being postponed this year due to the pandemic. We hope to bring back Toddler Art & Music in 2022.
Immerse your child in a world of artistic expression through our new interdisciplinary toddler art class. Children ages birth - 4 years old will have opportunities to explore various elements of the creative arts in multi-sensory ways, moving seamlessly to and from sound, rhythm, motion, painting, sculpture, drama, language, and more.
With a focus on encouraging creativity and self esteem you and your child will walk away from each class with new ways to play with art and music, as well as ideas on how to nurture creativity at home.
Imagine your child seeing and hearing a classical pianist perform a piece by Beethoven or Debussy, feeling moved by the sounds they hear they wiggle, stomp, and dance around the room, you can't help but join them and grab an instrument or two and see what happens next! Imagine them then making connections between the music, a fun story, and art, watch their eyes light up when they see the same themes repeat themselves, and then watch them take this knowledge and creative freedom to explore new and exciting ways to paint, draw, sculpt, and play!
The basic elements of art (form, line, color, space, and texture) have their counterparts in dance, theater, poetry, and music, and we will be making those connections in every class as your child transitions from one activity to another. Your child will leave each class with a masterpiece they have created on their own and a little dance in their step.
