After School Arts Program (ASAP)
Our after school arts program is open to children Kindergarten - 5th grade and runs from 3pm - 6pm, Monday - Friday and 1:30-6pm for Thursday's early release. We are now offering a program for the Friday teacher work day's to help accommodate those families in the Bellingham School District. The Friday program will be all day from 8:30 - 6pm, with a lunch time pick up option.
Our arts classes are approximately 45 min - 1 hour long. We meet your child at the school office and take them back to our facility. Once they arrive students will have about 30 min. to have a snack and free time before class begins. After class children will have more time to explore the arts on their own, play various interactive games with the staff or simply sit and read until pick up time which is between 5-6pm.
You are also welcome to sign your child up for just the arts class. On the day you choose to have them join us please drop them off at 4pm and pick them up by 5pm.
Students will receive an arts enrichment education in all art forms; visual, dance/creative movement/ drama/theater and music.

Artwork benefits all aspects of children’s development. While working with various art materials such as clay, markers, cornstarch, and fabric, children experiment with color, line, shape and size as they draw, paint, and make collages. For children, it is the process of creating that is important, not what they actually create.

See what some parents have to say about our program:
"I am continually impressed with the high caliber and super FUN art education my daughter receives at GAK. All the projects foster critical thinking and creative problem solving and the curriculum aligns with the National Core Arts Standards. As a teacher myself--I appreciate the focus on building skills of collaboration, play and creativity instead of "making a product". As a mom--I appreciate the high standard of personalized care that I see from ALL the staff. Bellingham is so fortunate to have GAK!"
