4-5:30 Exploring Sculpture
8 years and up
The creation of meaningful art from clay and other sculptural materials brings happiness and satisfaction to young artists. This hands-on class uses a variety of clay and sculptural techniques to produce creative and unique objects, including several pieces to be fired in a kiln. Using a multicultural approach, students will use ceramic clay, colorful glazes, paper mache and more to create pots, masks, creatures, and animals.

4-5pm Artist Series & Drama Basics
5 years and up
We will explore great artists from Kandinsky to Georgia O'Keefe. We will look at their art, talk about it and then create our own masterpieces based off of what we have learned. A great class for your budding artist to learn some art history in a fun and creative way.We will mix this classes up every other week with a little drama infusion. This drama program will provide young children ages 5 to 12 with unique opportunities to develop clear speech, fluent delivery and pleasing social skills.

Young artists will explore guided shape exercises using the elements of design. Learn to make patterns with colors in a variety of styles. Discover positive and negative space relationships. Build creative confidence using a variety of media in this non-representational art form.

Music Classes
SOUND ARTIST - an eclectic music program designed to develop the musical potential of young children.
All SOUND ARTIST classes include singing and chanting, moving to music, playing a variety of percussion instruments, and pattern instruction. Song and chants without words will also be used in order to heighten each child’s awareness of the unique qualities of music.
During classes children may respond to an activity at their own developmental level:
* In all classes, infants under 9 months are free with an older sibling.

Mr. B’s Piano Studio offers private lessons and group classes that are designed to nurture your child's innate desire to make music. My passion is teaching music to children in developmentally-appropriate ways based on the latest research on how they learn music. I strive to balance “fun” with focused learning while encouraging a natural physical approach that promotes good habits and technique.

GROUP CLASSES
All piano classes are taught in small groups of 3-5 students. We will explore various aspects of music by listening, moving, singing, chanting, drumming, and playing music alphabet and ear-training games, all designed to prepare your child for playing songs on the piano.
Introduction to PIANO PLAYTIME (age 4)
Tuesday’s & Thursdays 1pm - 1:30 pm
Will begin once enrollment is met
These 30-minute classes meet twice a week and run for 2 weeks; this allows families to sample Piano Playtime classes. Parents are welcome to attend and participate; a piano or keyboard at home is encouraged but not required.
COST: $48

PIANO PLAYTIME - Level A (age 4)
Prerequisite: Introduction to PIANO PLAYTIME.
Tuesday’s & Thursdays, 1pm - 1:30 pm
Will begin once enrollment is met
These 30-minute classes meet twice a week and run for 8 weeks and continue where the "INTRO" left off.
COST: $106; includes materials.

PIANO PALS - Level A (45 minutes, ages 5-6)
Tuesday’s OR Thursday’s, 1:45pm - 2:30pm
Will begin once enrollment is met
These 45-minute classes meet once a week and run for 8 weeks and are for children who are new beginners.
A piano or keyboard is required.
COST: $140; includes 2 books and 1 CD.

Beginner Movement and Irish Step

This class will focus on the very basic's of Irish Step as well as give young students a foundation in ballet. We will work through, balance, rhythm, timing as well as coordinating movements with the music. Students will also learn basic and easy stretching techniques. Class is 60 min.
